A picture is worth a thousand words.  Here are a few examples of how we helped tell someone’s Story:

“1942: Christmas From Home” – Hollywood theater, Portland, OR: Converting a movie theater into a theatrically interesting space, for this production recreating the “golden Era” of radio.  Among the challenges: Making the huge projection screen into a scenic asset; Providing clean, effective lighting from floor stands without sacrificing audience sightlines.

Theatrical Production – PCC Sylvania Campus: One of the few images from plays we have designed, this one involved creating several settings within a small space; using textures and colors to help denote each different locale.

Private PartyEstacada, OR: A local businessman gave his dad a special 80th birthday party, along the banks of the Clackamas river. We provided lights for the concert & dance floor as well as safety lighting for the table area

Tyrone Wells ConcertWashington Family Young Life Ranch, Antelope, OR: Utilizing an existing facility and enhancing with our specialty equipment, the end result not only enthused the audience, but our willingness to respond to their music caught the band’s attention and appreciation.

Fundraiser–Red Lion Jantzen Beach, Portland, OR: Decor lighting to enhance the set, video grade lighting for local video projection.  Plus, wall washes to carry the thematic colors around the room and help unify the room’s natural decor to the evening’s theme

Business MeetingOregon Convention Center, Portland, OR:  Plain white fabric hung from the ceiling, made alive by uplighting  with LED fixtures  and carefully mixing shades of the event theme colors

“Remme’s Run” work shop production Portland Playhouse, Portland, OR: Combining video projection on the floor and back wall with live actors.  the challenge of adequately lighting the actors without ruining the effect of the video.

FundraiserRed Lion Jantzen Beach, Portland, OR:  Aluminum scaffolding supporting the photographs, with live action in front.  Separating the visual appearances made a little more interesting by a need to accomodate the needs of the video camera providing image magnification

Men’s Advance– Aldersgate Conference Center, Turner, OR: Providing both decor lighting to add interest to the space, and enhancing existing platform lighting, primarily to light the speaker without washing out the video projection screen. Moving lights focused on the ceiling provided a texture, along with wall washes helped make the room feel more intimate.

Christmas Party Lighting– Private residence, Aloha, Oregon: In addition to traditional holiday lighting, we used Colorblasts to uplight the trees along the client’s 180-foot driveway. then programmed them to change colour combinations every few minutes.  In addition to providing a dramatic entry, the uplights also gave guests walking to the party plenty of safe illumination to the house.

Ten Grands on the Diamond– Ron Tonkin Field, Hillsboro, OR: Converting a Baseball stadium into a concert venue, we provided the temporary power, along with LED washes for general illumination and to add a little colour to the white tent enclosure.

We work with other vendors to coordinate various elements of a production so that the end product will best represent the client to their customers.

Fundraising banquet Before– Medical Teams International: Converting a warehouse space into a banquet hall for several hundred people involved LED washes along the walls, Patterned projections in a contrasting colour on the floor, and a warm-tinted table wash.  Additional fixtures were used for highlighting a stage in the center of the room. Coupled with fabric hangings by others, the end result created an intimate, comfortable feel.

Theatrical Production– LaSalle College Prep, Portland, OR: From a production of “Our Town,” working with high school students from design through to final execution. Minimalist set design coupled with carefully planned area lighting and use of colour.

Theatrical Production– LaSalle College Prep, Portland, OR: From a production of “Beauty and the Beast,” working with high school students from design through to final execution.  Demonstrating use of colour and texture to convey mood and locale.

Fundraising banquet– Central Catholic High School, Portland, OR: Converting a high school gymnasium into a banquet hall for several hundred people involved LED washes along the walls, Patterned projections in a contrasting colour on the ceiling, and a warm-tinted table wash.  Additional fixtures were used for highlighting a stage in the center of the room. Coupled with fabric hangings by others, the end result created an intimate, comfortable feel.

Head table, Wedding Reception– Oregon City, OR: Head table treatment involving a set piece by others, lit with LED wash to enhance the colors of the sculpture.  In addition, roughly 60 LED fixtures were used to convert the red brick, cream/yellow walls and beige curtains to reflect the blue thematic decor elements

Sales Meeting– Portland, OR: Creating a visually interesting backdrop using ordinary window screen material crumpled to create a textured surface, then adding front-and rear-lighting to create a number of looks through the different aspects of the event.

Christmas production–New Song Community Church, Portland, OR: Combining LED wall washes with color scrollers on side-lighting, coupled with face lighting, and a follow-spot. to provide a range of colour combinations reflecting different musical elements and moods as the Christmas Story is unfolded
